The most widely used weapon of the early medieval soldier was the spear. It was an excellent hand-to-hand weapon, having a great advantage in reach over shorter weapons. This example of a spear from the 1100’s has the simple grace of a practical fighting weapon. Spears of this type were in constant use from the early dark ages through the renaissance. The heavy mid ridge gives this spear superior strength for its weight. The head is cast in solid carbon steel with a sharp edge and affixed to an ash wood shaft.

Please Note: The wood haft may be slightly warped. This is normal for this item

Please Note: This spear may come with a wooden haft that is stained, instead of being untreated wood.

Great product This is everything I wanted in a spear. Fit and finish are great. It feels like its a natural arm for the man that needs to defend himself.

Some minor chipping I beleive I may have bought this directly from AA, can’t remember. The spear had 2 notable chips in it. This was something I remedied myself, and I didn’t beleive it warranted a major complaint. The wood shaft is straight and aesthetically appealing. Very maneuverable, and easy to wield. Spears are a fantastic weapon!

Wonderfully built. Shaft is not too big but not feeble either. Fits in the hand really well. Head came in good shape. Very good product.
