Covid-19 Update
The shipment backlog from our shut down is pretty much caught up and we are essentially back to business as normal. The only exception is that we are not offering in person pick-up yet. We are also seeing some transit time delays with the shipping companies, especially internationally, so please keep that in mind. Otherwise we are working and ready to serve you.

The mace is one of the earliest of melee weapons, the earliest being an improvement to a wooden club via the addition of a stone atop. All later maces have been a refinement of this concept. Simple, but effective, the mace brings devastating impact in a relatively lightweight weapon. Good armor may spare a man from outright death from a mace blow, but it will rarely protect his bones and innards from being crushed within his dented armor.

This 13th century mace is a good example of a mace head that is designed to defeat armor. Though not very heavy, this mace has enough heft that it can transmit tremendous kinetic force through its multi-faceted form - directing great amounts of force to smaller, triangular points to better pound the foe and force his armor and body to absorb more of the blow. Though the original that this replica is based upon dates to the 13th century, this is a common form that would have been seen throughout Europe in the middle ages. A lightweight, but deadly design.

This mace head is crafted from steel that has been darkened for an antiqued finish. The diameter of the socket at its base is approximately 7 / 8 of an inch / 21.8 mm.
